Welcome to Sacramento Solidarity!
What is the project?
Sacramento Solidarity! is a publication intended to uplift and spread the efforts, needs, conversations, and happenings of the people of the Sacramento area so that we are more connected to, interested in, and understanding of each other.
This publication intends to build toward more robust local infrastructure for the sharing of information, ideas, art, and inspiration.
Each issue will include a few short writing and art pieces about a variety of topics along with an abridged calendar of some upcoming local events.
What are its politics?
Love, solidarity, and fierce protection of life. Therefore, this publication also supports abolition of systems which threaten life and humanity.
If these resonate, we welcome you — as a reader, contributor, translator, constructive critic <3, or any combination thereof.
How can I contribute?
Sacramento Solidarity! is currently open to submissions for our very first issue. Have a poem, comic, analysis, or anything else you’d like to offer to share through Sacramento Solidarity! ? Send it along to sacramentosolidarity@proton.me.
Submissions accepted on a rolling basis. Include what name or pen name you would like the piece to be attributed to.
How can I access the first issue?
Print editions will be available (hopefully widely!) out in public spaces, online at sacramentosolidarity.noblogs.org, or by subscription by emailing us a good mailing address.
How can I support and take part?
Please also email with questions, comments, requests — including on how to make Sacramento Solidarity! most accessible, inclusive, and useful.
Lastly, we are not yet set up to receive financial support for printing and mailing costs. Stay tuned for how to support as you are able! For now, send your optional donation along to your local mutual aid organization or bail fund.
Sacramento Solidarity! is a free publication.
